How to transition from framing to Concrete when finishing basement?

I have an above ground basement that I am planning on finishing. One of the questions I have is, that on the bottom foot or so of my outside walls its concrete and above that its typical framing. The masonry sticks out a couple inches further than the framing. I don't want to have to fur out the entire wall on two sides of my house how do I solve this? I plan on using tile on the floor, can I just cover this masonry/concrete with tile?

I would personally fur it out to give it a normal finished appearance... always think re-sale of the house when you move. Some people might like the choice of tile you use but most will not... you cant go wrong with simple drywall finish. You are not going to lose much square footage and I think it would be alot easier then doing tile work.
