which calif. native plant can we plant on a hillside with deep roots for erosion control & are deer resistant?
Chinese wisteria is highly invasive and as the name suggests is not native to California.
I was going to suggest oleander, but it is not native either. The deer won't eat it as it is highly toxic to humans and animals.
why don't you check with some local plant nursuries?
Then go home and look up what they suggest in Wikipedia. They might not tell you about really invasive species.
