Does anyone know how to get mold off of wood? details......?

Ok. I have a post and beam home with amazing 10 x 10 wood beams all through the home. In the bathroom the wood beams and wood ceiling are molding. Its black,grey,white...its NAAAASTY. I brushed it with a stiff bristle brush and some cleaner with bleach but it just grows back. How do I get rid of it permanently? Is there a clear poly sealer to use on the wood to block mold like this? I DO NOT want to paint the wood, but need to take care of this. I also do not want to have to sand it down. Not sure if I would ever be able to stain the wood to match the rest that I didn't have to sand. Any info would be GREAT! Thanks!

Try hydrogen peroxide. Bleach evaporates and causes moisture to retain in the wood.

Find the moisture problem and resolve that or your mold will continue. Try a dehumidifier to control humidity in the room.
