How can I clean out a crosscut paper shredder?

I have a crosscut paper shredder that is clogged and runs slower than it used to. is there any way i can clean out the bits of paper from inside the shredder so it runs better?

GBC makes a synthetic oil for shredders. When the shredder speed slows down, you pour lightly some lubricant on a few sheets of paper on both sides and shred them. When I run out of this oil that I bought with my shredder, I think that I will try WD40 on paper a time or two. Actual clogs that remain need to be pulled out of the unplugged machine with needle nose pliers or tweezers..
