How to connect stereo speakers to a pc?
I bought some nice stereo speakers to use for stuido purposes...They are the kind with the little clamp connectors in the back so the speaker wire is not built in. I bought some speaker wire to run from the back of the speakers but the only problem is, is that since the wires are stripped there is no way to use them with the phono jack on my computer. Is there a wire with a stripped end to a mini phono, or is there a way to strip some wires and rig on a phono jack? I just dont want these nice speakers going to waste!
well you can rig it but it kinda depends on how many watts your using. you can take an old pair of headphones and strip the wire. on the inside of the wire you will have a small wire that is colored and other tiny wires surrounding it. the colored wire iss the positive and the outer wire is the negative. connect and enjoy!
but if you have to big of speakers your going to need some sort of amplifier.
